Community market returns to Mount Eliza with focus on affordable handmade goods
The Village Church is excited to once again host Ninch Nabs Handmade Market on Saturday 13 June (8am–2pm), following a successful debut event in 2025 that drew strong support from across the Mornington Peninsula.
The one-day market brings together local makers selling samples, seconds, discontinued pieces and one-off designs, giving shoppers access to handcrafted items at more accessible price points. It is a community-focused handmade market offering locally made goods at reduced prices in response to cost-of-living pressures.
Event co-founder Georgia Symmons said the market was created to support both makers and the local community.
“Last year was something special — people came together, supported local makers and found pieces they loved,” she said.
“This time, it’s also about making handmade more accessible, while still valuing the work behind it.”
Stalls will feature a curated mix of ceramics, jewellery, textiles, candles and art, with a focus on pieces that are often not available through traditional retail channels.
The inaugural event highlighted the demand for local, thoughtfully made goods, while also creating a relaxed and welcoming community atmosphere.
Visitors to the June market can expect egg and bacon rolls, warm soup, refreshments and live music on the grounds of the Village Church.
Rev Cameron McAdam said the church was pleased to host the event again.
“It’s generous, creative and brings people together in a genuine way — exactly what community should feel like,” he said.
Entry is free.
